I went for my first aussie B.Y.O on Sat. Krishna's colleague Brad invited us over for dinner. I also met a few friends and their wives. Brad has 2 sons, 3 years old son and 3 months old. Emma, Brad's wife cooked up a Spanish rice dish. Something really different done with all seafood and long grains. They bought the house from Emma's grandmother. The exterior was old but the interior was very nicely done and it had wonderful view of the lake in front of their house. They will be doing up more renovations to the house soon.
After dinner we all sat out in the backyard. The guys built up a fire and we sat around it. They all were very warm people and open with so much stories. One couple was getting married in Nov and they are having a garden wedding. Hmmm so envy them. Well then we only came back after midnight.
The next day we went to Krishna's mum's friend's house(Liverpool) for lunch. On the way back we drove up Mt Keria. On Sat we went in the morning but we couldn't see anything with the clouds covering the view. Its was still a nice experience with the clouds passing around you. On Sun we managed to look out and feast our eyes. We managed to see our unit from the mountain top. And then as usual Krish enjoyed the narrow winding roadtrip.
Yesterday we went to the temple which is 35km away from our place. This is the first time we went to temple as a married couple. So we felt special. The temple is really very big with loads of space to walk around in the temple itself. Its a Perumal temple and his statue was really huge. Yesterday there was noone except us, the priests and the Gods. We saw a self made electric drums and bell. The archana is A$15 each. This is the website of the temple. You can check it out for I can't take photographs of the interior http://www.svtsydney.org/
On the way back we took the Grand Pacific Drive that we went before when I came in Nov. Today there was barely any soul. So we stopped here and there to watch the views. The houses on the coastlines must be worth millions. We saw alot of home based businesses or shops. Of course with the view of the ocean in the front and the mountains at the rear who would want to leave elsewhere for work. There was even schools, pubs, police stations and even a cementry with views of the ocean. Haha.
This is the picture of my Chicken curry boiling away. We had it with parata which we bought in Liverpool. They had so many rows of Indian shops there. I was surprised. Even selling saris and other Indian cultural suits. I saw few Aussies. Mostly were Fiji Indians. They look like South Indians but they mostly speak Hindi.
